The plans for Michelle Trachtenberg's funeral are being kept under wraps.
"The family is keeping quiet about all the arrangements," a source exclusively tells Parade, adding, "Including her closest friends."

The Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress was found dead in her New York City apartment on Feb. 26. She was 39 years old. Though police confirmed that they do not suspect foul play, a cause of death has yet to be confirmed as of Thursday, March 7. The actress's family declined an autopsy.
Trachtenberg got her start as a young actress in the early 1990s, guest-starring on shows like Law & Order, Clarissa Explains It All and All My Children before landing a recurring role in Nickelodeon's Pete and Pete from 1994 to 1996. She solidified her status as a rising young actress in Hollywood after starring as the titular character in 1996's Harriet the Spy.

In addition to her early roles, Trachtenberg found success in the 2000s after she was cast as Dawn Summers on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, on which she starred from 2000 to 2003.
She went on to appear in EuroTrip, Six Feet Under, Ice Princess, 17 Again opposite Zac Efron and the late Matthew Perry, Mercy, Weeds, Gossip Girl, Guidance and more. Her last credited role was in 2022, when she reprised her character Georgina Sparks in the Gossip Girl reboot.
Trachtenberg's friends, fans and former co-stars, including many of her Buffy castmates, paid tribute to the actress in emotional dedications after her death.
"We have lost a beautiful soul," James Marsters wrote. "Michelle was fiercely intelligent, howlingly funny, and a very talented person. She died much too young, and leaves behind scores of people who knew and loved her.My heart goes out to her family who are good people, and are suffering the greatest loss anyone could bear. I hope everyone can give them space to heal in this most difficult time. Godspeed Michelle. You are missed."
Alyson Hannigan added in a statement of her own: "I am deeply saddened by the news of Michelle’s passing. She brought a loving energy to the set of Buffy. My thoughts are with Michelle’s family and friends."
