Glasgow is getting a televisual glow-up with the help of new psychological thriller series Fear on Prime Video.
The spotlight has been turned on the Scottish city’s affluent area in the West End, as the drama unfolds in a Victorian-built townhouse.
Written by Mick Ford and based on the book by Dirk Kurbjuweit, the show stars Martin Compston and Anjli Mohindra, who relocate their family from London to their new home, which quickly becomes more than just a backdrop.
Viewers will see a different side to the city, often portrayed as a gritty, hard-working counterpart to the capital Edinburgh.
But this picture-perfect family life in stunning surroundings is soon disrupted by a nuisance neighbour on a whole new scale.

Martyn (Martin Compston) and Rebecca (Anjli Mohindra) are making a fresh start in life after leaving their London home for Glasgow with their two young children.
They have four stories of a five-story townhouse, near Kelvingrove Park, but the basement is owned separately.
The new home seems idyllic until their neighbour Jan (Solly McLeod) starts making unnerving comments to Rebecca.
It soon turns out to be the start of something far more intimidating.
Facing the accusations that are every parent’s worst nightmare, with the authorities refusing to step in, Martyn and Rebecca feel they have nowhere to turn to for help.

Filming for Fear took place around Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow. (Photo: Amazon MGM Studios /Prime Video)In the drama, the family move from a house in London to a five-storey property overlooking Kelvingrove Park in the West End of Glasgow.
Compston told the Radio Times “even though you think, ‘Oh, it’s just in a house, it could be anywhere’, the house has to be sort of its own character”.
He added: “And there’s something really interesting about the fact that this couple have given everything they had – they’ve mortgaged themselves up to the hills to buy this beautiful, four-storey house – but still couldn’t get the whole building.”

(Photo: Amazon MGM Studios/Prime Video)Talking to the BBC about the house, he said: “Even for us, exploring five levels of the house was fascinating and then there was a secret level above that where the servants would be, and a coach house.
“It was a wonderful spot to film.”
The Scottish actor said he would go on school trips to Kelvingrove art gallery and look at the houses, wondering who lived in them.
“I’ve found out it’s a lot of Celtic and Rangers players, and it was funny trying to do an intense scene and one of my heroes would be out walking their dog,” he said.
