The University of Arizona announced Monday that it has agreed to a contract extension with Nike until June 30, 2033.
The school’s previous 10-year, $23.3 million deal with the Swoosh was set to expire on June 30 of this year.
The new contract has a total value of $44 million over eight years, according to Tucson.com’s Michael Lev. Lev reported the deal will start at $5.15 million in 2025-26 and increase each year by $100,000, climbing to $5.85 million by 2032-33.
Jason Scheer of WildcatAuthority.com also reported the new contract is expected to be the most lucrative for any Nike school in the Big 12.
Schools outfitted by Nike in the Big 12 include Baylor, BYU, Cincinnati, Colorado, Houston, Iowa State, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, TCU, UCF and West Virginia.
Arizona State, Kansas and Texas Tech all have deals with Adidas while Utah is the lone Big 12 school with Under Armour.
Arizona said the deal will also significantly increase the athletic department’s annual Nike product allotment.
