One person was shot and injured Monday morning by a Larimer County sheriff’s deputy north of Fort Collins, officials said.
The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office released limited information about the shooting but said in a 5:19 a.m. post on X that the suspect shot by a deputy was arrested.
Colorado 1, a state highway in Larimer County that runs between U.S. 287 and Interstate 25, is closed between Gregory and Country Club roads for the shooting investigation, sheriff’s officials said.
The Eighth Judicial District Critical Incident Response Team was activated to investigate the shooting.
