LSU played its first weekend away from Alex Box Stadium and took care of business. The Tigers are Frisco Classic champions after going 3-0 over the weekend.
After wins over Kansas State and Nebraska, Sam Houston State was the final opponent. LSU took care of business, winning 12-8. The championship win called for a celebration, so the Tigers decided to take a dip in the lazy river.

Sam Houston scored in 4 consecutive innings, including a 4-run 6th to make it an 11-8 ballgame. LSU’s Casey Shores got the win to improve to 3-0. Shores went 5 innings, allowing 4 earned runs on 7 hits and 3 walks while striking out 5 on 89 pitches (57 strikes). Jaden Noot picked up a save on an 8-pitch outing, collecting the final 2 outs.
