There are some presenter pairs you expect to see at the 2025 Oscars, but Andrew Garfield and Goldie Hawn were a pleasant surprise.
One of the cutest pairings of the evening took to the Academy Awards stage Sunday, March 2, to present the 2025 Oscar for Best Animated Feature and Best Animated Short, but before they did, Garfield shared a touching tribute to The First Wives Club actress.
"There's a person who gave my mother, during her life, the most joy and the most comfort," Garfield, 41, said referencing his late mother Lynn Garfield, who died in 2019.
"And tonight," he continued, "I feel very lucky because I get to thank that person from the bottom of my heart. That person is Goldie Hawn."

Garfield graciously stepped in to read the few sentences before presenting Flow with the Oscar for Best Animated Feature.
The Academy must have done some swift enlarging, though, because after the Flow team's speech, Hawn was able to read the intro to Best Animated Short which went to In the Shadow of the Cypress.
Somewhere, Garfield's mom was looking down on the pair and smiling.
