Drivers were urged to avoid a portion of Illinois Route 120 in far northwest suburban Lakemoor due to a police response on Sunday evening.
In a post on X at 2:34 p.m., the Lakemoor Police Department said Route 120 – Rand Road – was closed in both directions between Darrell Road and Willow Road due to police activity.
Police had yet to release specifics on the incident on Sunday evening.
