Deputies have taken multiple people into custody who are accused of trespassing at homeless encampments in and around Spring Valley.
On Wednesday, deputies from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Homeless Assistance Resource Team conducted the operation in response to community complaints regarding unauthorized encampments and public nuisance issues.
Deputies had previously engaged with those without shelter in the area, offering access to resources, including shelter, mental health services and substance abuse treatment.
They also warned the individuals that camping on private property is not permitted.
As part of Wednesday’s operation, deputies arrested an unspecified number of individuals on suspicion of trespassing on private property.
They also had two vehicles towed, in response to concerns about excessive trash and debris being left outside motorhomes parked in a residential neighborhood.
