Royal Caribbean International will homeport a ship in San Diego for the first time in more than a decade with the arrival of Serenade of the Seas in October 2026.

The 962-foot long vessel, which accommodates 2,143 guests, will offer voyages ranging from two to seven nights, departing from the Port of San Diego to destinations including Baja California, the Mexican Riviera and Sea of Cortez.

Royal Caribbean’s 2026-2027 season in San Diego begins on Oct. 2 with a two-day trip to Ensenada, starting at $306 per person, according to the cruise line’s website.

Throughout the winter season, itineraries will offer stops in Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlán, La Paz and Catalina Island.

Aside from a repositioning cruise through the Panama Canal, Royal Caribbean has not called San Diego home since 2010, officials said.
