Representatives for Drake made an unexpected announcement this week regarding the Canadian rapper’s Anita Max Win Tour.
The 16-date tour, which Drake announced last fall, began earlier this month in Perth, Australia. The “God’s Plan” rapper performed in sold-out venues in Melbourne and Sydney before traveling to Brisbane, where he most recently performed on Feb. 25 at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.

The 38-year-old five-time Grammy Award winner was slated to return to the Brisbane venue on Tuesday, March 4, before revisiting Sydney on March 7 for a show at the Qudos Bank Arena. Neither of those concerts will proceed as planned, according to a statement released on behalf of Drake on Wednesday, Feb. 26. The following two scheduled shows in Auckland, New Zealand, on March 15 and 16 have also been postponed.
The statement shared with Rolling Stone cited “a scheduling conflict” in announcing the decision to postpone the four sold-out tour dates. “We are actively working on rescheduling these dates along with adding some additional shows,” the “Hotline Bling” hitmaker’s team said.
Fans who have already purchased tickets to attend the postponed shows will be able to use their tickets for the rescheduled concerts or can have their ticket purchases refunded, Drake’s representatives advised. New dates for the rescheduled concerts had not yet been announced as of Wednesday.
“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience,” the statement attributed to Drake’s representatives added. “Drake and the entire team have had an incredible time doing these shows and are excited to return soon. We look forward to sharing the rescheduled dates with you as soon as possible.”
Drake’s scheduled show in Auckland on March 16 was the last date he had announced for his Anita Max Win Tour. In addition to touring, the rapper has also stayed busy this year by sharing new material with his fans. His most recent album, a collaboration with PARTYNEXTDOOR titled $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, was released on Feb. 14.
