UFC Fight Night 252 took place this past Saturday at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, producing a few updates across multiple divisions.
In the main event, former two-division champion Henry Cejudo took on Song Yadong. An unfortunate eye poke led to a controversial, premature ending to the fight, which led to a unanimous decision win for Song.
Despite the nature of the result, Song’s performance through three rounds was solid enough to overtake Cejudo in this week’s rankings update, moving up one spot in the bantamweight rankings to No. 9.
In the co-feature, Anthony Hernandez outworked Brendan Allen in a grappling-heavy affair. Hernandez swaps places with Allen in the middleweight rankings, moving up to No. 11.
