Watch: Bulldog puppies stolen from Centennial pet shop

CENTENNIAL, Colo. (KDVR) — A pet shop manager is asking the community to keep their eyes open after thieves made off with two of their bulldog puppies on Friday afternoon.

Bianca Rose Larsen, manager of Perfect Pets and the store owner’s daughter, said her two employees were manning the counter on a busy afternoon when three men came into the store. She said just by looking at the many security cameras they have positioned inside and outside the shop, their behavior gave off some red flags.

Centennial pet store hit, two puppies stolen totaling more than $4K

“They were walking around the store, super sketchy already. Just very rude, impolite,” Larsen said.

While the employees were assisting other customers, one of the men dropped to the ground, startling everyone in the store, including the puppies who immediately all began barking.

“He just fell on the floor, faked a seizure,” Larsen said.

Then, while everyone in the store was distracted by what was happening, an accomplice headed to the back where the bulldog puppies were. He removed the lid and snatched two of them.

In one of the security cameras, you can hear the employees yelling at him to stop.

“Lauren does everything she can to stop him,” Larsen said. “Barrels through her. Nicole also tries to stop him. Grabs his feet. He trips, both dogs launch through the air. One, like, hits the window.”

While attempting to get back up, Larsen said he kicked one of the employees in the face before making it out the exit. The girls watched him get into a gold Cadillac Escalade with no plates.

The incident left Larsen in shock, especially since she said she was planning to sell one of those puppies to a friend and another pet store owner.

“It’s sad that, you know, this puppy doesn’t get to go live this amazing life with a deserving, you know, family and home instead you know because someone doesn’t have any morals.”

The store is offering a reward to anyone who has anyone who can return the puppies safely. They are offering $1,000 per puppy, or $4,000 for the safe return of both puppies and the arrest of the man responsible.
