The young concertgoer named Jacob caught Ballerini's attention while holding up a sign that read, "I get bullied at school because I am a boy and love you," prompting the "Peter Pan" songstress to offer him some kind words of encouragement, which were captured in fan-captured footage uploaded to TikTok.

"I promise you also the person that's saying mean things, it's coming from a place of insecurity," the 31-year-old singer told Jacob while kneeling down on the edge of the stage to talk to him.

She continued, "They don't know what they don't like about themselves so they're projecting it onto you—It's a big word, I know. I've been in so much therapy."

"But it doesn't make it fair and it doesn't make it right and I'm really sorry that anyone's ever said anything mean to you. It's not okay," Ballerini added, before telling the young kid, "But you're okay. You're more than okay."

"Are you having a good time? That's all I care about," she added, before asking Jacob if he wanted to take a selfie with her, while the rest of the crowd cheered his name.

"These are all your friends. Don't forget that. We got you," Ballerini then added, before asking the crowd, "We have him, right?"

A number of fans were touched by Ballerini's sweet gesture, with users on TikTok flocking to the comments to applaud her for showing the young fan such kindness.

"Way to go Kelsea!" one person wrote. "what a terrible thing turned into a sweet moment for him. I hope he goes to school and is so proud of that selfie!"

Another person wrote, "she just changed his life."

"She's just pure light," someone else added, while another fan called the "Penthouse" singer "truly such a beautiful soul.

"For her to take time out of her show to make her fans feel safe and appreciated is so wholesome," another person chimed in. "Not many people do that and that's very humble. Protect her at all costs!!!"
