Ringo Starr has officially made his debut at the Grand Ole Opry!
The Beatles drummer played the iconic country music venue for the first time in his career on Friday, Feb. 21, but the legendary evening wasn't without a minor snag in the wardrobe department.

The 84-year-old musician took the stage in the appropriate Nashville attire, including a snazzy cowboy hat—which he didn't keep on his head for long.
"As you may have noticed, I dressed up a bit tonight. I'm a cowboy inside," he quipped while addressing the audience before the performance began.
But Starr then accidentally caught his hat on the microphone, prompting him to handle the situation with his typical sense of humor, telling the crowd, "I'm gonna take the damn hat off now."

More performers from throughout the evening included Lauren Alaina, Mickey Guyton, Don Schlitz, Mandy Barnett and more.
Before getting into his performance, Starr explained to the crowd that he "loved" country music when he was growing up.
"I still love it now," he added.
He went on to gush over the honor of performing at the Grand Ole Opry, stating, "This would just be a dream, to end up here."
"It's far out," the music legend added.
