Nostalgic after school snack gets ‘horrible’ recipe change after 29 years and shoppers are ‘100% disappointed’

A NOSTALGIC after school snack has supposedly been treated to a horrible recipe change after nearly 30 years, and left fans upset.

Shoppers who were hoping for a reminder of a childhood favorite have noted the change in taste, which has been dubbed as “plastic” online.

The Scooby-Doo! Cinnamon Baked Graham Cracker Sticks are now available at Target, but some have said that they aren’t like they remember them.

Shoppers also think the texture is different.

Originally selling in 1994, these cinnamon snacks come in the shape of a bone.

The new taste has divided fans online, with some who love them and some who think they are stale.

Despite the majority of reviews on the product website being positive, some have slammed the product for its new taste.

One person wrote: “I used to love these as a child.

“I recently bought a pack for nostalgia. I was 100% disappointed. The quality has significantly gone down.

“They now taste like plastic, and the price is high.

“Unbelievable what happened to the old recipe?”

A similar unsatisfied customer added: “Did they change the recipe for these?

“They are super hard and almost stale despite the expiration date being pretty far out.”

A third said: “Used to love these. The recipe definitely changed recently.

“Now they are flat and taste kind of stale. They used to be more like a solid cookie. Won’t be buying them again.”

There was some love for the new recipe, however.

One happy shopper said: “I personally love these because they’re a little harder than normal cookies.

“I especially love that they look like dog treats, it’s a little running joke at my job! I always give them one and they end up liking them too.”
