A 26-year-old male snowboarder has been missing since Friday afternoon from Vail Mountain.
The Vail Communication Center was alerted to the man’s disappearance at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 14, according to a Facebook post from Eagle County Sheriff’s Office. The man was overdue when he was reported missing.
Vail Mountain Rescue and Vail Ski Patrol searched the man’s last known location and frequented routes after the alert.
The snowboarder was last seen wearing an orange ski suit with blue accents on the top and a gray helmet, according to the post. He was riding a Salomon snowboard.
The search is ongoing. Anyone with information can contact Vail Dispatch at 970-479-2201.
