(KRON) -- The California Highway Patrol's San Jose Division said officers responded Saturday morning to a car on fire on Highway 101. Investigators said alcohol is believed to be a factor in the incident.
Fatal stabbing leaves one man dead in San JoseCHP officers arrived on scene just before 7 a.m. for a report of a solo vehicle crash on Highway 101 southbound, in the area of North First Street. CHP said the driver veered off the roadway onto the right shoulder and collided into a tree.
The driver, an unidentified man, was taken to a nearby hospital for injuries. The status of his condition was not released.
The crash remains under investigation.
