On Friday, news broke that the Miami Dolphins would be moving on from veteran running back Raheem Mostert, who could be an ideal target for the Kansas City Chiefs when free agency opens next month.
The Dolphins’ decision to move on from Mostert isn’t indicative of the veteran running back’s ability but rather is a result of Miami’s depth at the running back position.
Mostert is a proven rusher who could help bolster Kansas City’s backfield, which relied on the experience of Kareem Hunt and Samaje Perine to buoy the Chiefs’ running game last season.
Take a look at NFL insider Adam Schefter’s report about Mostert’s release:

Though Mostert is 32 years old, his legendary 2023 campaign should be enough to garner interest from teams around the league.
Kansas City has invested in veteran running backs in the past, and Mostert could likely be signed to a contract that would have a negligible impact on the Chiefs’ salary cap.
