Lee Greenwood's resume just got a pretty cool update, thanks to President Donald Trump.
The "God Bless the U.S.A." crooner has long supported the president, even performing at several campaign events and rallies during Trump's campaign as well as on Inauguration Day. Now, with Greenwood's new honors, the country star has the opportunity to work with the president.

On Thursday, Feb. 13, Trump appointed Greenwood, 82, to the Kennedy Center Honors board, as first reported by The Tennessean.
The news came shortly after the president's controversial move to take over as the new chairman of the board overseeing the John F. Kennedy Center of the Performing Arts Center in Washington, D.C.—a decision that was made "unanimously" by the board following Trump's firing of the current president, Deborah Rutter, the day prior.
"President Donald J. Trump was just unanimously elected Chairman of the Board of the prestigious Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.," Trump shared in a post made on his social media platform, Truth Social, on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
"It is a Great Honor to be Chairman of The Kennedy Center, especially with this amazing Board of Trustees," Trump added in a statement. "We will make The Kennedy Center a very special and exciting place!"
But not everyone has been so enthused over the president's new involvement with the educational arts center that former President Eisenhower signed bipartisan legislation to create in 1958, with former President John F. Kennedy and his wife, Jackie, raising $30 million for the project, per NPR. (The building was later dedicated to Kennedy following his assassination in 1963).
Several A-listers and well-respected artists—including Shonda Rhimes, Issa Rae and Ben Folds—have cut ties with the Kennedy Center since Trump was named chair.
