Perspire Sauna Studio, a sauna therapy franchise, has plans to expand in California with four franchise agreements to add new locations, including several in San Diego.
The chain has 17 locations in California, many of them in Orange County; 13 more are planned.
“This growth is especially significant because it’s happening right here in our home state,” said Lee Braun, founder and CEO of Perspire Sauna Studio. “California is where we started 15 years ago, and it will always be the heart of our journey. We’re proud to continue growing our roots in the place that started it all.”
Among the new franchise owners in San Diego is Jing He, a first-generation American from China who came to the U.S. for school in 2007.
After spending over a decade in accounting and finance, He decided franchising was the best next step. She signed a three-unit deal with Perspire.
Also in San Diego, franchise owner Kiki Barnes plans to bring another five studios to the area, targeting the coastal regions of Carlsbad down through La Jolla.
Barnes, a former Perspire employee, came to the health and wellness industry after a nearly 20-year career in cinematic marketing and graphic design.
“After working as an employee for a few months and furthering my knowledge about the benefits of infrared saunas as well as the business side of Perspire, I’m excited to build my own portfolio of studios and help more Californians maximize their health journey through the use of infrared saunas and red-light therapy,” Barnes said.
In the Los Angeles market, Daughters del Fuego LLC signed a three-unit development deal and in Northern California, a franchise agreement will bring two new studios to the Bay Area.
