They were routed 40-22 by the Philadelphia Eagles at the Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana on Sunday night.

And Kansas City has already looked towards the 2025 season and it’s effort to get back on top.

They announced a number of roster moves this week.

They included signing 11 players to contracts with an eye on 2025 and beyond.

But it also meant they cut ties with seven players altogether.

The players retained on reserve/futures contracts were; quarterback Chris Oladokun, wide receivers Jason Brownlee, Justyn Ross and Tyquan Thornton, tight end Baylor Cupp, tackle Chukuebuka Godrick, defensive linemen Siaki Ika and Fabien Lovett Sr., cornerbacks Darius Rush and Eric Scott Jr., and safety Deon Bush.

And there were seven players who were part of the practice squad let go altogether.

They were; linebackers Swayze Bozeman and Cole Christiansen, tight end Anthony Firsker, running back Keontay Ingram, cornerbacks Nic Jones and Steven Nelson and wide receiver Montrell Washington.

Kansas City faces a number of key decisions as it reshapes it’s roster for another Super Bowl run.

Travis Kelce, 35, has yet to make a decision on whether he will retire from the sport.

He said on his New Heights podcast, “I’m just kicking everything down the road.

“I’m kicking every can I can down the road and I’m not making any crazy decisions.”

Kansas City signed a number of high-profile players this year on short-term deals for their three-peat bid.

And those contracts that are set to expire include wide receievrs Marquise Brown and DeAndre Hopkins.

Three more wide receivers Justin Watson, Mecole Hardman and JuJu Smith-Schuster are also out of contract.
