DENVER (KDVR) — After a dry start to February, the winter weather returns to Colorado on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Pinpoint Weather Alert Days have been issued for Tuesday and Wednesday as periods of measurable snowfall will lead to slick roads alongside below-freezing temperatures.
After a warmer-than-normal start to February, with temperatures nearing 60 degrees at times, Denver will dip back to freezing with highs in the teens and 20s, and overnight lows in the single digits.

Timing
The Pinpoint Weather team said light snow will move in as early as Monday night, but accumulation will be minimal, with only half an inch expected in Denver. There could be possible impacts on the Tuesday morning drive.
However, the bulk of the snow will arrive Tuesday afternoon and pick up throughout the evening.

Totals
As the storm approaches, the Pinpoint Weather team is still fine-tuning the forecast. As of Monday, it appears several cities across Colorado will receive at least an inch of snow by the end of the storm.

While this won't be a major storm for Colorado, there could be impacts to travel as temperatures are expected to be frigid.
Aside from snow, the Pinpoint Weather team said temperatures will drop to the teens and 20s during the day, with overnight lows in the single digits.

Pinpoint Weather 7-day forecast for Denver on Feb. 10The Tuesday morning commute is expected to be fine as little, if any, accumulation is expected. The Tuesday evening commute is when roads could be dicey when the snow moves into Denver.
Wednesday morning will be another slick commute, but as the snow tapers off, evening conditions will improve.
