Patrick Mahomes has made a name for himself as one of the best quarterbacks in the National Football League. Drafted in 2017 by the Kansas City Chiefs, he’s led his team to an impressive five Super Bowls – winning three and losing one with the results of 2025's outing against the Philadelphia Eagles to be determined.
Aside from his professional success, Mahomes has been pretty open with his family life, appearing in the 2023 Netflix docuseries Quarterback. The show, which was produced by Super Bowl-winning quarterback Peyton Manning, showed what life is like on and off the field for today’s NFL quarterbacks.

Patrick Lavon Mahomes, who goes by Pat, is a former MLB pitcher. He played from 1992 to 2003 for teams across the league, including the Minnesota Twins, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates. He was the reason his son got into sports after Patrick Jr. showing promise in baseball, basketball and football.
“You can tell by the way Patrick plays quarterback that he took pieces of his basketball, the jump throws and no-look passes, and pieces of his baseball, the different arm angles, and he put it all together in a package in football,” Mahomes Sr. told the Los Angeles Times.
When his son was younger, Mahomes thought he would turn out as a pro baseball player, and even pushed him to quit football after his sophomore year of high school. “I just thought we were wasting time when he could have been working on the sports he would go to college for, baseball and basketball. Plus, I didn’t want him to get hurt,” Mahomes commented.
He continued, “His mom had a talk with him and told him that if he did quit, he would regret it, because he wouldn’t be on that field with the guys. She told him to pray on it and think hard about what he wanted to do, and God would give him the answers. I guess God told him to keep on playing.”

After Pat Jr. led the Chiefs to the AFC Championship in January, booking their ticket to Super Bowl LIX, his mom posted: “All glory to God for this incredible opportunity to witness history in the making. ❤️? So grateful to watch you pour your heart into what you love, son!”

Jackson Mahomes was born to Pat and Randi Mahomes on May 15, 2000, making him five years younger than his brother Patrick. He’s known as a TikToker and general internet personality.
Being relatively close in age to Patrick, Jackson shares a tight bond with the quarterback and acted as best man at his wedding. “It’s just like being related to anybody else,” he said in a May 2020 YouTube video, as reported by Us Weekly. “He’s a cool person, like, we’re super close. We have a great relationship, so I think that’s pretty cool.”
Unfortunately, Jackson has had his share of controversies, including being arrested for aggravated sexual battery in March 2023 (though these charges were later dropped). In March 2024, he was sentenced to six months of probation after pleading no contest to a simple battery charge.
Jackson isn’t the only one in the family whose arrest record went viral. His father, Pat, received a good deal of media attention after being arrested in February 2024 under suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

“Seeing the track record of guys going to the NFL and the development from the coaching staff just made it an easy choice,” Walker said, about the transfer.
He’s currently preparing for the 2025 NFL Draft.
About Graham, Mahomes Sr. said in a January 2024 interview with FOX4, “He’s a little bit more laid back than the others. Stays away from the spotlight and goes out and grinds and works. But a very impressive young man. His manners are intact, his stepdad did a great job with him, his mom did a great job with him and now I’m getting the chance to put my hands on him a little more.”
Avery Parker Mahomes
Avery Mahomes is the least-known of Patrick’s siblings, but she recently made an appearance on Mahomes Sr.’s Instagram.
“Happy 14th Avery. I love you,” he posted in July 2024, along with a picture montage.
