But the popular social media account NFL Rookie Watch says that Bryant has “turned the heads” of scouts and GMs.

They state that Bryant is “quickly climbing up draft boards” after standout performances at East West Shrine Bowl practices.

Bryant enjoyed an outstanding senior year at Kansas where he was named to the Sporting News All-America Second Team and the Associated Press Third Team All-America.

He was also a unanimous pock for the First Team All-Big 12.

Bryant recorded 37 tackles in 12 games last season and intercepted four balls.

He also had 11 PBUs and a forced fumble.

The 6ft corner revealed on the Kansas website that his biggest idol is Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant.

He said: “My parents named me after him because they knew I was going to have a big dawg mentality.”

Bryant also revealed that he “started playing football at three years old and I have always been into it.

“My dad threw footballs to me everyday.”

During the Shrine Bowl practice sessions, Bryant could be heard yapping at receivers and even went up against old rival Travis Hunter.

The Heisman Trophy winner, who is expected to be a top three pick, had a rivalry with Bryant earlier this year.

Although Colorado enjoyed the better season, Bryant won their battle with Kansas taking a 37-21 win when they met – and sealed the game with a late interception.

On the corner, Bleacher Report’s scouting report states: “Cobee Bryant is a long-armed cornerback with standout athletic traits and ball-hawking tendencies.

“His natural athleticism and length allow him to thrive in bump-and-run coverage, making him an intriguing mid-round prospect.

“Though his technical skills need refining, Bryant’s playmaking ability and aggressiveness stand out.

“Bryant excels in using his length to disrupt receivers, especially in press coverage.

“His ball skills are impressive, showing a knack for tracking and high-pointing throws.

“However, his top-end speed is questionable, and he shows hip tightness, leading to issues transitioning in coverage.

“His inconsistent technique can result in wasted movement and poor positioning.

“Bryant is a willing and aggressive tackler, filling his role in the run game.”

Bleacher Report have him as a “high-level backup/potential starter” and going in the third round.
