FOX have made a massive change to their Super Bowl broadcast.
The network is completely changing the scorebug for Super Bowl LIX.
Fox is rolling out the completely-new scorebug for the biggest game on TV, and reviews probably aren’t what they were hoping for.
It makes sense why fans might not be happy with the decision.
Fox has run the same broadcast during the entire regular season and playoffs, and then suddenly they are switching things up for the Super Bowl.
Just listen to these fans who aren’t thrilled with the change:
“Looks pretty ugly to me,” one fan said.
“Looks like it belongs on a kid’s broadcast,” another fan said.
“2nd worst scorebug in the history of the NFL on Fox,” a third fan said.
“I mean, that’s awful,” a fourth fan said.
“THIS IS DISGUSTING,” a fifth fan said.
The new Fox scorebug is extremely simple, and the consensus from fans is that it seems a bit too simple.
It gives the basic info that you need, each team and their score, but really nothing else.
There’s no team logos and fans only get abbreviations of team names.
It isn’t a major change and many fans probably won’t even notice it.
However, it just seems odd to make the change during the biggest game of the year.
Possibly the most viewers in the history of football will be watching this game, and a good number of them won’t like what they see.

TV ratings can quickly tank when millions of fans have their viewing experience disrupted.
Perhaps Fox is taking a page out of ESPN’s book by debuting new scorebugs.
ESPN used three different versions of their scorebug during the College Football Playoof.
Fox is only so bold to debut one new scorebug, but the jury is still out on whether or not it’s a hit.
