— Alabama Men’s Basketball (@AlabamaMBB) February 8, 2025A mainstay in the football crew’s rotation, Alabama is a relative newcomer to GameDay’s basketball scene. Next Saturday will mark just the second time in program history Alabama will host the basketball version of the traveling pregame show. GameDay came to town in March 2024 when Alabama, ranked No. 14 at the time, hosted No. 4 Tennessee.
The Crimson Tide enter into the weekend with a 19-3 record on the season. They’ve won 8 of their first 9 games to begin league play but sit second in the conference. Alabama will have to navigate consecutive road games against Arkansas (8:30 p.m. ET on Saturday) and Texas (Feb. 11) before it hosts Auburn.
Auburn is 21-1 on the season. The top-ranked Tigers are unbeaten in league play, with 5 of the 9 wins coming by double-digits. Auburn hosts Florida on Saturday and has a midweek game at Vanderbilt on Tuesday.
These 2 teams split the regular-season series last year, with Alabama winning by 4 at home and Auburn winning by 17 a few weeks later. That win for the Tigers snapped a string of 3 consecutive wins in the series for the Crimson Tide.
