29th June 2024 went down in the history books of Indian cricket, or rather the golden books, as it was the day India won the ICC tournament after 11 years of heartbreak. To celebrate that, we recently saw the BCCI honor all members of the Indian national team who were part of the T20 World Cup 2024 squad, felicitating them with special rings at the BCCI Awards 2025, held recently at the Naman Awards in Mumbai. This was similar to the NFL Super Bowl rings given to the winning team, and those rings are considered one of the highest honors in the NFL. Now, we saw the BCCI follow a similar style to honor Rohit Sharma and his team, who defeated teams like Pakistan, England, Australia, and went on to beat South Africa in the final.
