Marcus Jordan, son of legendary basketball player Michael Jordan, has made his first statement since his DUI arrest on Tuesday, February 4.
Marcus, 34, posted a statement via his Instagram Story on Thursday, February 6, saying he is turning his attention to his retail business, Trophy Room.
“I appreciate everyone reaching out,” he wrote. “I’m focusing on @trophyroomstore right now and won’t be making any comments on recent media stories and my personal life. I sincerely appreciate your concerns & thank you for your kind understanding.”
He wrote the statement over an image of Trophy Room’s interior with his father’s Chicago Bulls jersey prominently displayed.

Police arrested the ex-boyfriend of The Real Housewives of Miami star Larsa Pippen early Tuesday morning in Florida after discovering his car stuck on train tracks. As Marcus tried to get the officers on-scene to help him, they noticed signs that he was intoxicated.
Marcus’ relationship with Pippen, which was on and off from 2022 to 2024, made him a known name beyond just basketball circles as he frequently appeared on the Bravo hit with her. The former couple also appeared together on season 2 of Peacock’s The Traitors, where he was “murdered” in episode three.

He admitted to drinking “some” beverages earlier in the night as officers reported he had “bloodshot and glassy” eyes and seemed “confused where he was located.”
Officers said he became “agitated and irritated” as he refused to get into the police car, questioning why he was being treated like a criminal. Once he was in the squad car, police allegedly found a bag of cocaine in his pocket.

He was arrested for driving under the influence, cocaine possession and resisting arrest, according to TMZ, and was booked in an Orange County jail. The police report stated he was “singing all the way” to the Orange County DUI Center as the car began to smell “strongly like an alcoholic beverage.”
Us Weekly has reached out to Maitland Police Department and Marcus’ reps for comment. He was released Wednesday on $4,000 bond, an Orange County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson told USA Today.
Marcus is the second-eldest son of the Bulls legend and played basketball at the University of Central Florida, also located in Orange County. Michael, 61, shares Marcus, along with son Jeffrey, 36, and daughter Jasmine, 32, with ex-wife Juanita Vanoy. He also shares daughters Victoria and Ysabel, 10, with his second wife, Yvette Prieto.
