THE Miami Marlins are being sued after a fan claimed to have slipped on “dog urine” at their stadium.
The bizarre incident is said to have taken place at one of the MLB side’s “Bark at the Park” events at loanDeport Park last year.
“Bark at the Park” events – which permit fans to bring their dogs to the stadium to watch games – have grown in popularity in recent years.
And Marlins follower Luann Hahn claims she slipped on dog urine in an area of the stadium which WASN’T designated for dogs during an event she states took place on April 14, 2024.
Hanhn is seeking $50,000 in damages for her tumble as well as a jury trial.
An excerpt of the lawsuit read: “As plaintiff was walking on the premises that was not designated for dogs to be in she slipped on an (sic) dog urine on the floor causing her to fall onto the ground.
“The existence of the liquid on the floor created an unreasonably dangerous and unsafe condition.”
Baseball fans were left stunned by the lawsuit, with one commenting on X: “Welcome to Miami.
Another said: “No way, Jose.”
And another said: “She’s going to ruin bark at the park now. we can’t have anything man.”

Another chimed in: “Is this real?”
Hahn’s lawsuit could, however, fall flat on its face as records of the Marlins’ fixture last year don’t show that a “Bark at the Park” event took place on the date she claims the incident took place.
Additionally, attendees of “Bark at the Park” events are required to sign a waiver.
Part of the waiver states “you must execute this release and agree to its terms in order to enter loanDepot Park and the surrounding area (The ‘ballpark’).”
It also says: “I further assume any and all risks associated with my participation in the Event, including, but not limited to.
“Illness, traveling to and from the Event, falls, contact with spectators at the Event, injuries or damages including death sustained by and through other participant dogs.
“In consideration for allowing me to participate in the Event with my Dog, I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors.
“And administrators or anyone acting on my behalf, waive, release, covenant not to sue, and fully defend, indemnify, hold harmless, and discharge Major League Baseball Properties, Inc., MLB Advanced Media, L.P., the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball, Marlins Teamco LLC, each of the other Major League Baseball clubs, Marlins Funding LLC, Marlins Holdings, LLC, Marlins Stadium Operator, LLC, Marlins Stadium Developer, LLC, City of Miami, Miami-Dade County…”
The Miami Marlins have yet to comment publicly on the lawsuit.
