The most exciting weekend in the world of NBA is coming in few weeks. Fans are ready to see the top players from across the franchise come together and clash against each other in the All-Star extravaganza.
Set to be executed with a new twist, the 2025 NBA All-Star Game will be played in the form of a small tournament on February 16. The 74th edition of the star-studded NBA event will be hosted by the Golden State Warriors at Chase Center, making them the hosts for a total of four times.
The NBA decided to go with a four-team tournament for this year’s All-Star Game, where three teams will be drafted by NBA on TNT analysts Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley, while the fourth team will be the winners from the Rising Star Challenge to be managed by Candace Parker.

History of NBA All-Star Game
The NBA All-Star Game is the annual star-studded game night hosted by the league, which features 24 star players from across the franchises. The All-Star Game is a part of the three-day All-Star Weekend, and has been held on the third Sunday of February since 2022.
The first NBA All-Star Game was played on March 2, 1951 at the Boston Garden, where the Eastern All-Stars team defeated the Western All-Stars team, 114-94. The first NBA All-Star Game Most Valuable Player Award was given to Boston Celtics’ Ed Macauley.
