The 2024-25 high school basketball regular season is coming to a close in California over the next couple weeks. California’s class of 2026 basketball recruits has star power at every position with five players ranked as consensus five-star recruits.

Tyran Stokes, the nation’s top player in the junior class, leads the way at Notre Dame High in Sherman Oaks after transferring in from Prolific Prep in Napa.

    Here’s a look at 15 top basketball recruits in California’s junior class.

    Tyran Stokes – Sherman Oaks Notre Dame – 6-7, 245

    Stokes, the nation’s top player in the class of 2026 according to several recruiting outlets, transferred in from Prolific Prep prior to this season. Rutgers and Houston are the most recent of his nearly 20 scholarship offers to this point.

    Brandon McCoy – St. John Bosco – 6-4, 185

    The nation’s top junior guard, McCoy has more than 20 offers from the likes of UCLA, Duke and Alabama. He’s averaging 17 points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals per game for one of California’s top teams.

    Christian Collins – St. John Bosco – 6-8, 200

    Collins has paired up with McCoy and Elzie Harrington after transferring in from St. Bernard to give the Braves a deadly trio. Averaging 14 points and 10 rebounds per game so far, Collins recently added an offer from Louisville.

    Tajh Ariza – Westchester – 6-8, 180

    The son of 18-year NBA veteran Trevor Ariza, Tajh transferred into his dad’s alma mater for his junior season. Kentucky, Oregon and Nebraska were among the schools that extended scholarships to the five-star recruit during the fall.

    Jason Crowe Jr. – Inglewood – 6-3, 170

    Crowe Jr. averaged 37 points per game during his two seasons at Lynwood High School before following his dad to Inglewood High School this year where his dad took over as head coach. He’s averaging 34 points per game this year and is on pace to shatter the California all-time scoring record after it was just broken this past weekend by St. Joseph’s Tounde Yessoufou.

    Maximo Adams – Sierra Canyon – 6-6, 180

    Adams, a four-star recruit with offers from Texas, Kansas, Syracuse and many others, enrolled at Sierra Canyon prior to this season. The younger brother of Cal State Northridge leading scorer Marcus, Maximo spent his freshman season at Narbonne and sophomore season at Gardena Serra.

    Joe Sterling – Harvard-Westlake – 6-4, 180

    Sterling averaged 20 points and five rebounds per game during his first two high school seasons. As a junior, he’s joined up with reigning Open Division State champion Harvard-Westlake, closing in on 15 scholarship offers.

    Isaiah Rogers – Corona Centennial – 6-2, 165

    A rare veteran on a very young Centennial team, Rogers has been impressive this season. In a win at the Nike Extravaganza two weeks ago, Rogers finished with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Offers from St. Louis, Cal Baptist and Loyola Marymount arrived in December.

    Julius Price – St. Joseph – 6-2, 190

    Playing alongside Tounde Yessoufou each of the last three seasons, Price has put impressive numbers of his own. He’s averaging 19 points, six assists, four rebounds and two steals per game this year having already surpassed 1,600 career points.

    Brannon Martinsen – JSerra – 6-7, 190

    An All-CIF selection during his time at Mater Dei, Martinsen made the switch to Trinity League rival JSerra this season and got eligible after Christmas. A talented, left wing, Martinsen excels in the mid-range.

    Luke Barnett – Mater Dei – 6-4, 180

    Barnett has taken another step forward as a junior, averaging 22 points per game. A standout perimeter shooter, Barnett is closing on 300 three-pointers with more than a season left to play.

    Andrew Hilman – Archbishop Riordan – 6-4, 180

    Hilman slots in next to Texas A&M-signee Jasir Rencher, giving Riordan one of the state’s top backcourts. A standout summer led to offers from Washington, Washington State, Utah and Loyola Marymount.

    SJ Madison – Redondo Union – 6-4, 170

    An explosive guard, Madison has helped the Sea Hawks reach a 23-2 record with the postseason nearing. Offers are in from Loyola Marymount, UNLV, Montana and others.

    Elias Obenyah – Salesian – 6-4, 175

    Obenyah helped Salesian win the NorCal title in 2024, reaching the CIF State title game in Sacramento. He’s picked up nearly a dozen offers since the start of the summer.

    Myles Jones – Modesto Christian – 6-3, 160 (Stanford)

    Jones has averaged 13 points per game each of the past two seasons with the Crusaders sitting at 9-0 in the Tri-City Athletic league. He announced his commitment to Stanford in September.
