Tennessee made history with its blowout win over Florida on Saturday.
The Vols are now the first team ever to win 6 straight home games against AP Top-5 opposition. The record of 5 such wins was previously held by Kentucky, who accomplished the feat from 1956-59 and then again from1978-84.

In February of 2023, the Vols beat a strong Alabama team 68-59. They accomplished the feat twice more in February of 2022, beating both Auburn and Kentucky in Knoxville. The Vols also won a top-5 home game against Kentucky in March of 2019 and in January of 2017.
The Vols may have an opportunity to extend this streak when they host (currently No. 4) Alabama on March 1. Tennessee’s last home loss to an AP Top-5 team came against Kentucky way back in 2015.
Tennessee’s victory over Florida on Saturday night is meaningful in the scope of the 2024-25 season as well. The Vols are now 5-4 in SEC play and are still in contention for a top seed in the 2025 NCAA Tournament. The Vols accomplished this win without starters Zakai Zeigler and Igor Milicic as well.
Tennessee will look to keep the momentum going against Mizzou on Wednesday night.
