NFL fans have spotted worrying signs that the Kansas City Chiefs dynasty isn’t yet at the halfway point.
That is, despite the fact that Patrick Mahomes‘ lot are eyeing an unprecedented three-peat of Super Bowls next week.
The Chiefs are about to appear in their fifth Super Bowl since 2019.
And the are heading to their third consecutive one after a thrilling victory over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship.
Standing in their way – the Philadelphia Eagles – who lost in agonisingly close fashion to Andy Reid‘s side in 2023.
Many thought the Chiefs would be ruined when Tyreek Hill, Tyrann Mathieu and L’Jarius Sneed walked out the door.
Or when teams raided their coaching staff and front office this season. But injuries could play a part come next Sunday.
But fans have spotted a key factor that will lead to their continued dominance.
The Chiefs have the fourth-youngest roster in the NFL when the season began and the sixth-youngest among the 14 playoff teams.
And superstar Mahomes, 29, has more wins before his 30th birthday than any quarterback in NFL history.
Of the 22 players who started in the AFC Championship game, 15 are home-grown.
That suggests a sustainable draft and develop set-up.
And fans have noticed.
One wrote on X: “I think the Chiefs are a boring dynasty and they aren’t close to being done.”
A second said: “Would a three-peat make Kansas the best NFL dynasty in NFL history?”
