The 2025 Six Nations is now underway as England try once again to mount a challenge against the likes of Ireland and France.
Steve Borthwick‘s side have flattered to deceive in the home nations’ tournament in recent times and face a horror start to this year’s edition.
England endured a five-match losing streak last year after a poor Autumn Nations Series with defeats to New Zealand, Australia and South Africa.
Their run finally came to an end with a 59-14 win over Japan in November, but tougher tests await in the upcoming Six Nations.
England, who haven’t won the tournament since 2020, open their campaign against two-time defending champions Ireland.
The Three Lions denied the Irish the chance of back-to-back Grand Slams at Twickenham last year but haven’t beaten Andy Farrell’s side on the road since 2019.
However, the Six Nations favourites will be without coach Farrell due to his commitment to the 2025 British and Irish Lions tour – with Simon Easterby taking over the reins on an interim basis.
France battered Wales 43-0 in the opening game, with Italy celebrating their 25th anniversary of joining the event with a trip to Scotland.
