The nominees for this year’s London Football Awards have been announced ahead of the ceremony at Wembley Stadium on 27 February.
Chelsea’s Cole Palmer won last year’s Men’s Young Player of the Year award and is shortlisted for the Premier League Player of the Year this time around.
The England international is joined by Brentford duo Bryan Mbeumo and Mikkel Damsgaard on the five-man list along with Arsenal’s Gabriel and Fulham’s Antonee Robinson.
Alessia Russo is nominated for WSL Player of the Year, with the England star up against Arsenal teammate Frida Maanum, as well as Chelsea duo Guro Reiten and Johanna Rytting Kaneryd, and Tottenham’s Bethany England.

This year’s ceremony marks 11 years of the London Football Awards, with previous winners including Ian Wright, Emma Hayes, Arsene Wenger, Harry Kane, Sam Kerr, Frank Lampard and Bukayo Saka.
After winning his award last year, Palmer spoke exclusively to The i Paper about his confidence that Chelsea’s youngsters would eventually come good.
Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou also opened up about how watching Spurs as a child shaped his philosophy after being named Manager of the Year 12 months ago.
