And if you find that you need to add a new style to your wardrobe this season, Aldi is releasing a midi dress with a built-in bra this week that is as useful as it sounds. Plus, it looks a lot like a Halara version that usually costs almost four times as much. From June 11 to June 17, Aldi will be selling their Serra Midi Dress with Built-in Bra for $14.99 in the Aldi Finds aisle of local U.S. stores. It has a crewneck with wide short sleeves and a dropped shoulder so that the sleeves kind of fall off similar to a Dolman sleeve. The upper portion and skirt gather at the waist, which has a large, solid band. This creates a sort of ruching effect that adds to the flowy nature of the dress. Serra Midi Dress with Built-in Bra, $14.99 at Aldi
(Aldi)As the name suggests, it has a built-in bra with removable pads, which is helpful for washing. The dress has a fabric made with 95% rayon and 5% spandex, making it very comfortable and easy to move in. There are also side seam pockets which are always a giant plus for dresses. Lastly, this style comes in two colors: blue and black. (Halara)This dress isn’t like a lot of things on the market today, but it does look a bit like Halara’s Breezeful V-Neck Short Sleeve Midi Casual Dress. This dress currently costs $39.95, but it was originally $54.95. Off the bat, it has a lot of similarities to Aldi’s: it has short sleeves that have a dropped shoulder, side pockets and a gathered waist design. The skirt and top gather at the thick band at the waist, giving a similar ruching/flowy effect. Plus it’s a casual dress like Aldi’s, meaning you can wear it to the store and you don’t look overdressed or you can fancy it up a tad for a chill brunch or lowkey gathering.The main differences here are the v-neck, tie in the back and fabric. The Halara dress is made out of 85% polyester and 15% elastane. So it’s not super far off, but it’s not the exact same. This fabric makeup also means the Halara dress is quick-drying and sweat-absorbant. It also has more elastane than Aldi’s has spandex giving it a four-way stretch.
