The Jacksonville Jaguars were named a “potential landing spot” for top free agent safety Camryn Bynum by Pro Football Focus.
Also mentioned as being a fit for Bynum is the Jaguars’ AFC South rival, the Tennessee Titans.
Bynum just wrapped up his four-year rookie deal with the Minnesota Vikings. Throughout his career, he’s proven to be a reliable tackler and has had solid ball production with eight interceptions and 14 pass breakups in four seasons.
Opposing quarterbacks’ passer ratings when targeting Bynum the last two seasons has been below 100.0.
The bulk of Bynum’s career snaps have come playing deep, which would allow Darnell Savage to play closer to the line of scrimmage, which suits him best.
Andre Cisco is set to be a free agent this offseason for the Jaguars, currently leaving Jacksonville thin at the safety position.
At both cornerback and safety, the Jaguars need improved play in 2025 after the Jacksonville defense finished in the bottom three last season in interceptions, quarterback passer rating, and yards per pass attempt. They were also 24th in completion rate as well.
PFF is projecting that Bynum lands a three-year deal worth $14.25 million. Over the Cap currently has the Jaguars with $35-plus million in available cap space.
