KAY Burley has shared a huge health update on her sister’s cancer battle with fans.
The Sky News presenter had been keeping fans in the loop since revealing last year Jacqueline was battling the disease.
In a fresh update to her followers, Kay revealed her ‘baby sister’ is now cancer free.
The 64-year-old shared a snap of them together as she wrote: “The best of news.
“My baby sister Jacqueline is cancer free. She has been through hell and back for the last 18 months but today she was given the all clear by her oncologist.
“My heart swells for her and the family.”
Fans flooded Kay with well wishes for Jacqueline and her family following the news.
One said: “How wonderful I wish her well.”
A second commented: “What incredible news Kay!”
“Excellent news, congratulations,” said a third.
Kay previously spoke about her mother’s battle with cancer and tragic death when her son Alexander was just eight months old.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain in 2018, Kay revealed: “My mum died when she was my age.
“My little boy was eight months old. It still makes me sad actually just to think about it.
“I remember her saying to me at the time…”
Kay – who is the longest-serving Sky News host – has said she has had many breast cancer scares throughout her life – with an 80 per cent risk of suffering from the disease.
She now has a mammogram and an ultrasound every six months so that she has the best chance of beating it.
