Another big matchup in Week 1 is Miami against a Notre Dame team that made it to the national title before losing to Ohio State. SMU looks to exact some revenge against Clemson on October 18 as the Mustangs hit the road to take on the Tigers.
The Hurricanes will be bringing in a new quarterback as former Georgia QB Carson Beck became the highest-paid player during the NIL era to bring his talents to Miami. He will be replacing Cam Ward, who has a chance to be the No. 1 player draft in the 2025 NFL Draft.
