Harvard-Westlake basketball player Nikolas Khamenia and Chatsworth’s Alijah Arenas were announced as McDonald’s All-Americans on Monday afternoon.
The two players will represent the West team in the McDonald’s All-American Games at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on April 1. The games will be shown on ESPN.
Forty-eight players across the country were selected as McDonald’s All-Americans with 24 playing on the West team and 24 on the East team. Each was chosen from a list of nominees by some of the nation’s top analysts, prep scouts, media and coaches.
Khamenia, a 6-foot-8 power forward, is a Duke signee who has helped Harvard-Westlake to an overall record of 22-1 and an unbeaten Mission League record of 4-0. The Wolverines are coming off a big win over Notre Dame and have a matchup against Sierra Canyon, which is also unbeaten, on Tuesday.
