— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) January 24, 2025Carroll took 2024 off from coaching but spent the previous 14 seasons as the Seattle Seahawks head coach. His time in Seattle was highlighted by a Super Bowl title at the end of the 2013 season. He went 137-89-1 during his tenure in Seattle.
His coaching career, of course, also included a legendary run at USC with the Trojans. His 9-year stint at Southern Cal included 7 conference titles and 2 claimed national championships.
He now joins a Raiders organization that is in need of a reset. Las Vegas went just 4-13 in 2024 and hasn’t made the postseason since 2021. The franchise has just 2 postseason appearances in the last 2 decades.
Carroll, by contrast, made the playoffs in over half of his seasons with the Seahawks. Seattle made the playoffs in 9 of its final 12 seasons with Carroll at the helm.
