Rob Gronkowski makes Bills-Chiefs pick using ‘reverse psychology’ as Fox NFL Sunday star reveals who he’s rooting for

NFL legend Rob Gronkowski has revealed his prediction for the Buffalo Bills- Kansas City Chiefs playoff game in the only way he could.

The Fox NFL Sunday star, 35, shared his AFC Championship Game pick on Kay Adams‘ FanDuel TV program.

Gronkowski has an ulterior motive behind his Bills–Chiefs prediction.

The New England Patriots icon believed the Baltimore Ravens would beat his hometown team the Bills in the Divisional Round.

Gronkowski was proved wrong, and that’s why he’ll use “reverse psychology” to inspire a Buffalo win, by predicting a Kansas City victory on Sunday.

On Wednesday’s Up & Adams, Gronk said that his friends and family from Buffalo gave him grief for his Ravens-Bills projection.

He claimed to have had a plan before riding with the Chiefs.

“I told them all I was playing that reverse psychology role… I really wanted the Bills to win. So I’m actually gonna go with the Kansas City Chiefs,” he said to Adams.

“They’re gonna pull it off and win by four.”

The four-time Super Bowl champion tight then gave the Bills some advice on how to upset the Chiefs at Arrowhead.

He seemed to join critics who took issue with the controversial, unnecessary roughness penalties that were called against the Texans last Saturday and to the benefit of Kansas City.

“When they sack Patrick Mahomes, just touch him,” Gronkowski warned Bills defensive players.

“Don’t do anything more. Don’t throw him too hard down on the ground.

    “You might get a penalty.”

Gronkowski can take credit for a correct prediction or celebrate the Bills’ Super Bowl appearance by taking both sides.

Kansas City is seeking to win their third straight Super Bowl, while Buffalo will look to claim their first big game title.

The Bills beat the Chiefs in the regular season, but, under Josh Allen, they are 0-3 against Mahomes’ Kansas City squad in the postseason.

Gronkowski knows a thing or two about stopping Mahomes and head coach Andy Reid.

He was on the Patriots when they defeated the Chiefs in the 2018 AFC Championship Game and went on to win his third Super Bowl.

And Gronkowski earned his last Super Bowl with Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers when they got the best of Kansas City in 2020.
