WWE legend Stone Cold Steve Austin was forced to undergo a life-changing operation.
The Hall of Famer has been putting off having a knee replacement surgery “for years”.
At the height of his popularity, part of his signature look included a black knee brace.
The knee pad helped Austin with injuries that stemmed from his college football days at North Texas State University.
Taking to Instagram, Austin shared X-rays of his knees, and said that he is already back in the gym as part of his rehab.
The 59-year-old wrote: “How it was. And how it is… I am seven weeks post op on a Total Knee Replacement.
“My left knee was on its last leg, and I have been putting this surgery off for years. Post op X-Rays show everything is healing nicely.

“Before starting PT, I came out of the gate aggressive and started walking way too soon and too far and really p***ed off my new knee.”
Stone Cold has his sights set on racing in The Mint 400 off-road race near Las Vegas in seven weeks.
He first tore his ACL during a college football game in the 1980s.
But doctors decided against repairing his left knee due to the strength of his quads and hamstrings at the time.
Part of Austin’s signature look included a black knee brace. That led to a host of issues down the line, which continued to plague him to this day.
Stone Cold hasn’t appeared in WWE since a cameo on the second night of Wrestlemania 38 in 2022.
He previously teased an appearance at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas a couple of months before he underwent the knife.
Austin defined the famous Attitude Era alongside Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
The Texas Rattlesnake performed as a rebellious Texan who brutalised his rivals, flipped his boss Vince McMahon off before taking him out with a Stunner and then celebrated by chugging beers.
That led to six world title reigns and a number of classic matches against the likes of The Rock, Triple H, The Undertaker, Bret Hart and many more throughout his 14-year career before retiring in 2003.
He was forced to step away from in-ring competition after multiple knee problems and a serious neck injury.
He signed to the organisation as an ambassador after retiring 21 years ago.
The American bruiser dedicates himself to his Broken Skull Ranch in Nevada with his land that he has filled with animals.
