Taylor Swift is in the house for the Kansas City Chiefs divisional round game against the Houston Texans.
But this time, she’s not just a fan.
She’s also playing peacemaker.
Before the game, cameras caught Swift chatting with ESPN’s broadcaster Joe Buck.
What were they talking about?
We’ll never know.
But it’s safe to say, the longtime girlfriend of Travis Kelce, was trying to keep the peace between Buck and the Kelce household.
Why is that?
Because Travis’ sister-in-law, Jason’s wife Kylie, was raised to hate Buck as a rite of passage as a Philadelphia native.
The longtime play-by-play commentator, doesn’t have a huge approval rating in the Kelce house and Buck knows it.
“You guys f—ing hate me, I know,” Buck said on Jason Kelce‘s new late night talkshow, They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce.
“Well, I was raised in a house where I was taught to dislike Joe Buck,” the mother of three said.
Buck and Kelce are now coworkers at ESPNGetty“I mean… I was taught that by my father,” she continued. “I very much recognize the pattern in which it seemed as though he was always cheering for the other team.”
She was asked what she now thinks of Buck, after having met him, and jokingly said she was “annoyed” to learn that he was actually a nice guy.
“It completely negated everything I’ve been taught,” Kylie said.
Maybe Swift doesn’t have to play as much peacemaker as originally thought.
But if there is anyone who can defuse hate and bring people together, it’s Swift.
