“I’m so happy that I got the win tonight. This was so important to me. Trey is tough. It was a tough 15 minutes. I think experience played a huge role tonight because I just felt he was doing a great job, and then I saw the way to win was the ground-and-pound and I stuck with it. … I knew I had second and third round for sure. I was very confident. ”

“I just get back to the gym and I keep getting better. In Florida, at American Top Team, there are so many great fighters, coaches – it’s impossible not to get better. You’ve just got to show up.”

“I’ve fought the top of this division. I’m only 29 years old. I want to keep getting better. My focus is to become a champion. I would fight anybody. I never said no to any fight that the UFC offered me. I just want to fight in May because my wife is pregnant and she’s expecting for June. So fighting in May would be perfect.”
