Ewers has long been expected to enter the 2025 NFL Draft.

However, the 21-year-old’s stock has fallen after a disappointing performance versus the Buckeyes, and NFL scouts believe another year of college would benefit him.

Despite the struggles, Ewers has reportedly “drawn considerable interest” from Ohio State, where his college football career began, Alabama, and Ole Miss.

A NIL offer of $6 million has also been handed to Ewers, per On3’s Pete Nakos.

Still, Ewers previously told ESPN that he doesn’t anticipate playing college football next season.

Ewers’ time in Texas is likely done, and Arch Manning will be the next man up in Austin as a result.

The son of Cooper and nephew of icons Peyton and Eli Manning, Arch Manning was the No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2023.

Arch was never rumored to transfer last year and waited his turn.

He has sat for two seasons but he did have an impact on the squad this year.

Arch stepped into the lineup after Ewers suffered an oblique strain.

During an appearance against UTSA, Arch recorded five touchdowns.

He also wowed in the SEC opener against Mississippi State, posting 325 passing yards and two touchdowns.

At the end of the season, Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian installed a package for Arch to use in the red zone and short-yardage situations.

Arch also converted a fourth-down conversion in the team’s loss to Ohio State last week.

Throughout this season, fans urged Texas to bench Ewers and play Arch.

Ewers’ completion rate went down to 66.5 percent this season, after posting a 69.0 completion percentage in 2023.

Still, he threw for 3,189 yards with 29 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
