70s Rock Legend Extends Tour After Shocking Health Crisis Hits Co-Headliner

Fleetwood Mac’s iconic songstress Stevie Nicks is extending her 2025 tour after her co-headliner unexpectedly withdrew.

At 77, Nicks is set to kick off her summer tour in early August, wrapping things up in October.

Originally scheduled for just nine shows, the rock legend surprised fans by adding eight more dates to the lineup.

The newly announced shows now include an opening night at New York’s Barclays Center and a tour closer in Hartford, Connecticut.

While Nicks was initially set to co-headline the tour with Billy Joel, the Piano Man has dropped out after revealing a rare brain disorder diagnosis.

Despite his departure, most of the planned shows remain on the schedule — though several have been moved from stadiums to arenas, now that they’ll feature Nicks as the sole headliner.

Among the added cities on the tour: Hollywood, Florida, Detroit, Portland, Oregon, Sacramento, Atlantic City and Charlotte.

Presale for the new dates begins Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time, with general admission tickets available starting Friday at 10 a.m.

Nicks’ career began in 1966 with the band Fritz, where she performed alongside then-boyfriend and bandmate Lindsey Buckingham.

The group opened for icons like Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix before disbanding in 1972.

After a short-lived effort as a duo, Nicks and Buckingham joined Fleetwood Mac in 1974 at the invitation of drummer Mick Fleetwood.

Nicks quickly became a standout, writing tracks like “Landslide” and “Rhiannon” for the band’s 1975 self-titled album, followed by hits such as “Dreams,” “Gypsy” and “The Chain” on their 1977 album, Rumours.

Despite the band’s massive success, internal tensions led Nicks to launch her solo career in 1981. She officially left Fleetwood Mac in 1990 and went on to cement her legacy with solo hits like “Edge of Seventeen” and “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around.”

Now, fans have another chance to see the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer live this summer — but act fast, because tickets won’t last long.
