The Jacksonville Jaguars are in the midst of searching for their next head coach, but before we know it NFL free agency will be here. In addition to making decisions around which outside free agents to potentially bring in, the Jaguars have their own pending free agents to make decisions on as well.
The Jaguars currently have roughly $36 million in available cap space for the 2025 offseason, according to Over the Cap, and that ranks right around in the middle of the NFL pack. However, that figure hasn’t baked in their rollover amount of unused cap space from the 2024 season, which is among the most in football. There are also additional cap maneuvers that can be made to create more room.
NFL.com currently has wide receiver, cornerback, safety, and the interior offensive line as positions of need for the Jaguars this offseason. I would also add that bolstering the defensive tackle position should be on their radar.
While Trevor Lawrence is obviously the team’s quarterback, he is the only quarterback under contract in 2025 at the moment. So in some capacity–whether the draft or free agency–additions will have to be made. You could also put tight end into that category as well.
In addition to bolstering the roster in free agency, the Jaguars hold the fifth overall pick in this year’s draft and have 10 selections in total.
