JALEN Hurts has been cleared to play in the Philadelphia Eagles’ playoff game this week.
The quarterback made it through concussion protocol in time for the Wild Card matchup.
Hurts’ status came down to the wire, but he is ultimately ready to go against the Green Bay Packers.
The Eagles star was limited in practice on Wednesday but returned as a full participant on Thursday.
Those practices helped him clear the concussion protocol ahead of the Eagles-Packers game on Sunday.
“We’re always careful with him,” Eagles coach Nick Sirianni said.
“He’s our quarterback, so we always want to be careful with him. We always think about his health, first and foremost, because you never want him not to be on the field.
“You always want Jalen Hurts on the field. You always feel better when Jalen Hurts is on the field.
“It’s always part of our process and our plan to make sure that when he does carry the football on planned runs that we try to protect him.”
Eagles fans are thrilled to have their quarterback for the big game and shared their thoughts on social media.
“It’s over for Green Bay,” one fan said.
“Let’s go get this ring,” another fan said.
“No excuses. Eagles will soar this weekend. Fly Eagles fly,” a third fan said.
“Let’s Go. Can’t wait for Sunday,” a fourth fan said.
“My boy is back!!” a fifth fan said.
While the Eagles are getting Hurts back from injury, Packers quarterback Jordan Love is still questionable.
He suffered an elbow injury during the final game of the season but has returned to full participation at practice.
