Jacksonville Jaguars’ wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. was named the NFL’s offensive rookie of the month after his performance in the month of December.
Since December 1st, which spanned six games for the Jaguars if he included the season finale against the Indianapolis Colts in January, Thomas would catch 38-of-57 targets (67%) during that span for 502 yards with four touchdowns.
For some context, compared to not only rookies but all receivers in that stretch of games, Thomas’ 38 receptions were tied for the second-most, his 502 receiving yards were tied for the fourth-most, and only five receivers had more touchdowns.
This honor caps off what was a very impressive season for the Jaguars’ 2024 first-round selection. On the year, Thomas was featured heavily in the offense with 129 targets, catching 87 of those passes for 1,282 yards and 10 scores.
Among all receivers, Thomas finished third in receiving yards behind only Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson, and in what was considered a loaded rookie class at the receiver position, Thomas was first in yards and touchdowns while finishing second in receptions.
